Ladies' Formal Afternoon Gown (or informal dinner gown) This Section 1 contains two sub-albums (slide shows), under Parts (A) and (B), dealing with the preparation and completion of the boned Foundation for this gown. Click on "Play" at top left of the first photo to play through the entire slideshow automatically. Click "Pause" to stop at any time. (A) Preparing the Foundation (B) Boning & Completing the Foundation This section is intended for the use of purchasers of 'History House' sewing patterns, to assist users with some of the more challenging aspects of these antique designs. Not every pattern is represented here, but more will be added as time goes on. Each set of photos is a self-contained, annotated "mini-tutorial" for a particular pattern.
To quickly access the construction help photos, look for your pattern number under the "Pattern List" heading to the right (see your pattern or sewing instructions for the number, for example 1910-A-015). Click on the number to go directly to the set of photo tutorials that pertain to that pattern. Some patterns have only 1 section, others have several sections -- the Pattern List will indicate how many sections there are for each pattern. For patterns with multiple sections, be sure to scroll down to start at Section 1. Remember to read any captions below the photos -- these provide additional information on the construction process. Since I'm attempting to move all of my old photo content from an online photo album which is now outdated and defunct, it may take some time to get them all set up here, so please check back again if you don't see the construction help photos mentioned in your pattern instructions. I hope these photo tutorials will be of assistance to you and make your project perfect! P.S. I'll also be revising all my current PDF pattern instructions that had links to the old photos, to update those links to go to directly to this page. However, some older printed patterns may still contain references or URL links to my previous "construction help" photo gallery (which has now been removed because of outdated technical issues). Those old links will no longer work. Please look for your pattern number under the list at right on this website. |
